Lost and Found
“Lost and Found’ follows a conversation with a man who humiliated me by propositioning me, thinking I was lingering in a hotel to find clients as a prostitute. It baffled me as I was dressed in business clothes, covered from head to toe. I regretted not speaking up for myself in the moment when he asked me, “What are you looking for?” This poem was my consolation and closure as I was finally able to answer that question - and regain my dignity in the process.
